JEDWARD out of X Factor at LAST
Last night, Britain saw Jedward get booted out of the X Factor. The Irish twins, John and Edward Grimes, collectively known as Jedward were voted off the X Factor show by losing a sing-off against Olly Murs.
The twins’ performances over the past 7 weeks have divided the country. They are inarguably tone deaf and have two left feet. They were frequently booed after their performances by the X Factor studio audience yet had managed to stay in the competition week after week after week whilst some talented singers were voted off.
They may not be able to sing but they were entertaining, they often gave elaborate performances with armies of dancers and special effects, although it may have been an attempt to draw attention away from the fact they could not sing. For their sing off last night, they sang, the Boyzone hit, No Matter What whilst Olly had chosen to sing Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton.
After the sing off, the judges voted three to one to send the twins home. Only their Irish mentor Louis Walsh had voted for them to stay. Walsh said afterwards “I feel sad for the boys, but they left on a high”.
The show did have two powerful performances from the immensely talented Diva, Mariah Carey and the X Factor’s very own Susan Boyle.
After the show, many of the TV audience took to twitter to either proclaim their happiness at their departure or to stress their disappointments. It looked like the nation’s young people were divided and it was hard to judge which side was more passionate.
One thing is that the twins’ fellow contestants will miss them. Many of the contestants that were interviewed after the show had good words to say about them. I personally like them but felt that it was unfair to the contestants that could genuinely sing to be voted off whilst the twins stayed. I think in the end, justice was done.

Yes, I agree with you that "jedward" were entertaining despite the fact that they were aguably the worst finalists (Kandy Rain were slightly better singers than they were dressers).
Noticed that no-one was rushing to answer Dannis question of "is this a singing or an entertainment contest ?"
